General Information:

Roads with the "A" indication are expressways

From TRAPANI:

1. From Trapani centre right hand turn for Via Pantelleria;
2. After approx. 694 metres left hand turn for the State Road SS113 for approx. 13 Kms. for expressway A29 Palermo-Mazara del Vallo;
3. After approx. 13 Kms. right hand exit for Mazara del Vallo;
4. Continue for approx. 13 Kms for exit "GALLITELLO" with indication signs for Poggioreale, Salaparuta;
5. Continue for about 13 Kms. on this provincial road, always following the signs for Poggioreale, Salaparuta, Sciacca;
6. This will then take you to the State Road SS624 ( Palermo - Sciacca ), continue for about 5 Kms. until right hand exit for Poggioreale, Salaparuta;
7. Follow local road for about 5 Kms. which will take you to Salaparuta ( new centre ) which then leads to the old centre destroyed by the earthquake where is situated the winery Madonna del Piraino. 

From PALERMO:

2.    From Viale Regione Siciliana starts the expressway A29 Palermo to Mazara del Vallo;

3.    Continue on A29 for approx. 45 Kms. until exit "GALLITELLO" with indication signs for Poggioreale, Salaparuta; 

From PALERMO AIRPORT:

1. Directly in to expressway A29 and follow steps 3-6 above;

From AGRIGENTO:

1. From Agrigento centre the State Road which leads to Sciacca;
2. From Sciacca the State Road SS624 ( Sciacca-Palermo );
3. Continue for approx. 40 Kms. until right hand exit for Poggioreale, Salaparuta;
4. Follow Step No. 6 as above.

From MESSINA:

There are two 2 ways to reach Salaparuta:

1. Expressway A20 Messina-Palermo for about 178 Kms. which then turns into Viale Regione Siciliana;
2. After about 4 Kms. turns into A29 Palermo-Mazara del Vallo;
3. Continue for about 50 Kms. until right hand exit "GALLITELLO" which indications for Poggioreale, Salaparuta.
4. Follow steps 4, 5 and 6 from above directions from Palermo.

Other way to reach Salaparuta from Messina is:

1. Expressway A20 Messina-Palermo for about 178 Kms. Shortly after turn-off from Viale Regione Siciliana ( right-hand ) and follow road signs for the State Road SS624 Palermo-Sciacca.
2. Follow this road for about 60 Kms. until right hand exit for Poggioreale, Salaparuta.
3. Follow step no. 6 from above.
